Marina Management Services Promotes Brazda and Tufts
Boca Raton, FL, July 30, 2001 Affiliated with several MMS-managed properties since August 1999, Brazda first served as interim Manager at The Gangplank Marina, a 310-slip facility in Washington, DC, before relocating to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, as Operations Manager at Crown Bay Marina, a 96-slip megayacht marina where he was responsible for daily operations of the marina office, fuel dock and dock attendants. Brazda was also responsible for overseeing construction projects at American Yacht Harbor, a full-service 106 fixed-slip facility in neighboring Red Hook. Brazda previously served as Assistant Dockmaster at Pier 66 Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and held various management positions at two Westrec properties in Georgia Allatoona Landing Marina on Lake Allatoona and Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier. A New Jersey native, Brazda attended Mount Ida College in Newton Centre, MA and is experienced in computer networking. Brazda is a regular contributor to Marina Dock Age magazine and remains active with the South Florida Marine Trade Association [SFMTA] and other industry-specific organizations. Affiliated with MMS as Staff Accountant since 1996, Tufts is responsible for preparing payroll and financial statements for a growing international clientele that currently includes Crown Bay Marina in the U.S. Virgin Islands; Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor in the British Virgin Islands; Simpson Bay Yacht Club Marina in St. Maarten; and Hurricane Hole on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Prior to joining MMS, Tufts held a corporate accounting position with Office Depot in Boca Raton. A San Diego, CA, native who relocated to Florida in 1988, Tufts holds an associates degree in Business Administration from Palm Beach Community College [FL] and attended North Carolinas Appalachian State University. |
