In order to properly operate, a marina facility must be properly protected through a Comprehensive Marina Insurance Program designed specifically for the business operations being conducted.

There are many insurance agents who claim they understand the insurance requirements of a marina, however, there are only a few specialists in the United States who are solely committed to the marine industry.

Mark Yearn has represented the Marine Industry since 1982. His company, Marine Insurance Services, provides insurance services to Marina clients and Boat Dealers throughout the United States and the Caribbean. He is a Board Member of the Association of Marina Industries, on the Editorial Advisory Staff of the Marina Dock Age Magazine, and has spoken at numerous trade conferences, including his scheduled appearance at the National Marine Bankers Association in November 2006.

His experience ranges from working at a marina to the underwriting of insurance for a marina. He has been an authorized signatory for Underwriters at Lloyd’s of London, he has extensive Marine Claims Experience and as vast knowledge and training in the implementation of insurance programs for marinas, boat dealers or boatyards.
