Marina Management Services Inc. (MMS) was formed in 1988 and has served the marina industry since that time through a variety of marina consulting, business valuations and “workout” assignments. It is this exposure to the industry and its operating principal’s experience in the marine industry that has allowed MMS to focus on the voids that currently exist in marina management. MMS capitalizes on the consolidation as the industry emerges from a cottage industry into a larger and more sophisticated segment of the marine industry.

MMS’ focus includes ownership and full on-site management of marinas. Up to this time no other marina management company has focused on serving the needs of the marina owner; instead, the emphasis has been on the boater who is usually viewed as a hotel guest. In reality, boaters are not as mobile as these companies would like one to think.

MMS will assume on-site management responsibility at competitive fees by implementing proven business practices and monitoring and reporting on the results. In addition MMS will consolidate services such as financial and accounting, purchasing, labor leasing, risk management and marketing. By consolidating these services, yet maintaining confidentially, there are certain economies of scale that can not be achieved with a single marina but will improve the profitability of all marinas under the MMS management program.
